Sew A Classic Wool Coat 🧥

A classic wool coat never goes out of style. Or so they say! That has not prevented me from buying some type of heavy winter coat each year, despite living in California.

I do love a good coat, though. I challenged myself to make this Bella Loves Patterns “Traveller Coat”, while also recording a video sew along. It was many labors of love: the garment, the filming, the editing, the soothing of the laptop that could not handle the editing…😂

For all the details (there are a lot of details!), check out the video! ⤵️

If you are reading this, I can assume you are feeling like you might be ready to give coat sewing a try. Or, you might already be pretty experienced and want to read a review of the pattern.

If you are in the first category, you can do it! Take things one step at a time, and do not rush the process. It can be challenging at times, but my video *will* help.

If you are in the second category, the pattern is great! Everything fits and matches where it is supposed to, and there isn’t anything particularly finicky. I would 100% make this again, with a couple of adjustments (all in the video!) ☺️.

Happy coat sewing!
